Not saying they can over ride the conduct. But if I have to choose between believing the words of someone who is negative 100 versus someone who has 200 rep points, I guess the choice is obvious. In cyberspace, no one knows who you are and given that, how you conduct yourself and getting others to follow your lead or even believe you depends on reputation.
